Abstract Update

The Clinical Genetics supplement, containing all of the accepted abstracts is now available online – click here to view.

All abstract acceptance emails have been sent. Please contact Sandy McNeill at if you have not received an email and wish to check the status of your abstract. If you have received an acceptance email, please do not forget to acknowledge receipt to confirm that you will be attending and presenting your poster.

Poster presenters are allotted one side of a two-sided 8 feet wide x 4 feet high posterboard. We recommend that you have extra copies of your abstract available for pick up at your board. Poster presenters will be expected to be available next to their poster during their allotted poster session times.

Due to the overwhelming number of quality abstracts submitted to the WCHD, we have split the poster sessions into two sections.

The first session will be on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Your poster must be removed by 10:15 (the coffee break) on Monday, September 14, 2009. Your poster must be removed by the end of the sessions on Sunday, September 13.

If your abstract is in the following categories, you will be presenting on Sunday:

  1. Pathogenesis
  2. Pre-Clinical HD
  3. Clinical HD
  4. Late-Breaking Abstracts
The second session will be on Monday, September 14 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. You may put up your poster after 10:15 am (the coffee break) on Monday, September 14. Your poster must be removed by the end of the sessions on Tuesday, September 15, 2009.

If your abstract is in the following categories, you will be presenting on Monday:

  1. Medical Treatments
  2. Animal Models
  3. Care-Health Services
  4. Social and Family Issues
  5. Epidemiology
  6. Genetics/Predictive Testing
  7. Late-Breaking Abstracts
You should have received an email confirming which day you are presenting your poster. If you are unsure about which category your poster falls into, please contact the secretariat at to confirm.
